- “Long May It Wave”, but never in this tattered condition. Over the years Council Member Barry Grodenchik has contacted the Parks Dept. many times on our behalf to have U.S. flags at the Bellerose Playground, damaged due to the elements, replaced. Due to the ongoing reconstruction of the playground, Grodenchik had the NYC Schools Construction Authority remove the torn flag in May, 2019. It will be replaced when the renovation is complete. Thanks again, Council Member Grodenchik! We understand that under a separate contract the flagpole will be re-painted.

- Comfort station and east wing of P.S.133 in June as construction of playground continues at a slow pace. The U.S. flag has already been removed in this photo.

- Portions of one of the handball courts (both will be retained) and schoolyard (MPPA- multi-purpose play area). Completion is expected by year-end, according to Council Member Grodenchik who visited us at our May, 2019 BCCA meeting.
